American Football

26 11 2005

Today we (Cam, Sashi and I) went to Stanford Stadium to see the Stanford Cardinals play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a college football game.

It turned out to be a bit of a special game because it was the last to be held at the Stadium which was built in 1921.  Directly after the game they begun pulling it down in order to build a new one – smaller but better.

It was also a special game because it was a thriller – the lead changed three times in the last two minutes of play!

And, of course, it was special because it was my first football game…  🙂

Cam has a few postings on his blog (1, 2, 3, 4).

Really enjoyed watching the match, looking forward to seeing more sports matches –  Americans really know how to do sports events!
