Touring the surrounding towns

10 12 2005

Joan took me for a tour of some of the local towns today. We first headed up Shoreline Ave to the end where there’s a nice cafe and a local windsurfing spot. I’ll have to give windsurfing a try here!

Then we shot down south to Los Altos, Los Gatos, Saratoga – the nice affluent region. They are beautiful, quaint towns nestled amongst the foothills of the local mountain range. In particular the downtown of Saratoga was very nice and cosy.

It was a lovely drive – and a great way to see a lot of places in a short time

Joan was also kind enough to respond – in spades! – to my request for maps. I now have around ten maps of the area! Still miss the pure beauty of the Melways though! 🙂
