Everyone knows I like to take me some photos. Lately I’ve been playing with off-camera flash photography. The reason for this experimentation lies in my interest in a fantastic website called Strobist. David Hobby, the site’s creator and a pro photographer, is a wonderful teacher of this black-art. As well being a talented photographer he’s also a gifted author with a terrific sense of humour.

David is about to start Lighting 102 following on from his immensely successful “experiment” Lighting Boot Camp. I watched boot camp from afar, marvelling at the quality of the photo submissions; this time I’m going to try and participate.

If you’re at all interested in photography, particularly how to improve your use of flash in your photos, you have to head over and read Strobist.

Be careful, you’ll be hooked before you know it.
