Sydney (part 2)

8 05 2007

I did indeed head to Manly on another beautiful Sydney day.  Then, that (Monday) night, Melissa and I had dinner at the Waterfront at the Rocks.  Decent (not spectacular) food and service, although slightly overpriced (you pay for the privelege of dining at the Rocks).  Things got messy – in a fun way – as we peeled apart a crab entree.  🙂

Unfortunately during the day I had slightly hurt my back so today (Tuesday) I’m taking it easy, enjoying the lobby of our hotel while connected to the Internet.

Speaking of hotels, the Sebel Pier One is my new favourite place to stay in Sydney.  Located just below the harbour bridge this four-and-a-half star hotel is well situated, quiet (considering it’s located so close to the city) and has a stunning view.  The rooms are all unique but each one is well-lit and appointed.  Staff have been fantastic.  Compared to other hotels in its class it’s also reasonably affordable.  Highly recommended.

I would also highly recommend the Sebel Pier One in Sydney. Craig and I were up there on the Australia Day weekend, and loved it. It is a fantastic location, but still quiet, and the rooms are great. It is definitely a favourite of mine!

Cheers,
Sally
