At my last job they offered the option to take care of your private health insurance. It was expensive cover, although excellent, but the cost was offset by the fact that it was paid for by pre-tax money. More companies should offer this IMO.
Now I have to choose a new health cover plan. I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of providers and plans on offer – I had no idea there were so many options!
iSelect is on the right track. They provide a website that simplifies the task of selecting a provider by asking what’s important to you and then returning a list of plans that match your needs. The big gotcha here is that there are only four providers in their system, so you’re missing out on a big chunk of the market. Still, it gives you a good starting point.
If anyone has any advice please let me know!
