Flying home

6 11 2007

I’m writing this at 30,000 feet on my way from Raleigh to Dallas (then later to LA and Melbourne, the reverse of my original trip.  I’m trying to spend some of this leg writing a few blog entries based on a bunch of notes I’ve taken of stories to share with y’all.  I’ll publish them when I land.

Australia is a long way from the rest of the world.  This flight is going to take about 26 hours; about 21 hours flying time and the rest in airports.

[Update: I have, of course, since landed and have had a lovely few days off.  Back to work tomorrow.]
