Getting to the end of the trip…

24 07 2008

Melissa and I are still alive!  We’re currently in London on the last leg of our trip.

After visiting Melissa’s family we took the bus (faster than the train!) from Pescara to Rome and spent five days there.  Rome was fascinating, such rich – and long – history and so many amazing things to see.  Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese and the Galleria Borghese, The Vatican Museum (including, of course, the Sistine Chapel), St Peter’s Square and Cathedral, Piazza Navona, The Colloseum and the incredible Pantheon were some of the sights we saw.  More to share later.

London is mostly about catching up with friends but there’s also so much to see here!

With only a few days left of our trip it’s starting to feel like visiting Europe is so unfinished, there is just way too much to see and do here to even scratch the surface in nine weeks.  Impossible not to consider coming back at some stage!
